Zero Ledger

A voluntary installation count across all OmegaLiberte hubs — the “zeroth book” from which every instance’s logbook descends. Opt-in only (unticked box), revocable at any time.

What the ping sends

At most 1 KB of JSON, once on consent, then at most weekly when the app is opened:

• a random installation id, created on the device (deleted when the person revokes)
• art: neu (new installation) or lebt (sign of life)
• app version and sprache
• instanz: host and path of the instance — not the person’s address

Never sent: sources, accounts, the hub’s name, history, keys.

Ledger rules

• The ledger stores only the latest state per id. No IP, no log of single pings.
• Entries without a sign of life for 12 months are deleted.
• Any instance may run its own ledger; sums are public.
